Question:
To ask the Minister of Education when his Department intends to use the remaining budget in the School Ventilation Fund.

Answer:

The Department of Education provided £2m earmarked capital funding in the 2021/22 financial year for CO2 monitors and ventilation needs across the schools’ estate, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This £2m allocation was spent in full, providing ventilation schemes, CO2 monitors and air filtration units across the schools’ estate.

Additional funding has since been provided, as needed, for the provision of CO2 monitors and air filtration units.
