Question:
To ask the Minister of Health for his assessment of the availability of domiciliary care packages in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust.

Answer:
Unfortunately, it remains the position that the demand for a home care service outweighs capacity alongside the challenges to retain and recruit home care workers across the region.
However, South Eastern H&SC Trust has made a marked improvement with a reduction of 47% in the unmet need as at end of March 2024. There are currently 5530 packages of care being actively delivered in the South Eastern H&SC Trust settlement areas, Belfast, Down and Lisburn, North Down and Ards.
