To ask the Minister of Education (i) for an update on the review of suspensions and expulsions; and (ii) whether he will introduce a single scheme for suspensions and expulsions across all sectors.

Answer:

I will be considering the draft report on the review of suspension and expulsion arrangements which includes recommendations for change in the coming weeks.

A number of proposals for change have been identified in the report. Once I have considered the draft report, I will determine the next steps to be taken thereafter.
