Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the cost per kilowatt of (i) home charging; and (ii) public charging for electric vehicles.

Answer:
As the provision of home electricity is commercially led, my Department does not hold records of the cost per kilowatt of home electricity. There are a number of electricity providers operating in this market and they would be best placed to advise you of their individual home energy tariffs.
Similarly, the provision and operation of publicly accessible electric vehicle charge points is commercially led with responsibility for the setting of individual charging tariffs at publicly available charge points solely resting with the relevant charge point operator. There are more than fifteen charge point operators active in the market and they would be best placed to advise you of their tariffs at their publicly available electric vehicle charge points. My Department does not hold records of the cost per kilowatt of charging at publicly available electric vehicle charge points.
