To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for his assessment of Financial Transactions Capital as a method to attract additional investment for capital projects.

Answer:

My Department has not been able to avail of Financial Transactions Capital (FTC). FTC must be used to provide a loan to or make an equity investment in a private sector entity and as such no opportunities have been identified within infrastructure that meet this requirement.
