Question:
To ask the Minister of Education (i) for an update on the consideration his Department has given to the Independent Review of Education; and (ii) for a timeline of when that assessment will be published.

Answer:

Departmental officials have now completed an internal consultation with DE officials, officials in other departments potentially impacted by the recommendations and with NDPB’s and other stakeholders.

A paper is now being produced for my consideration outlining the findings of the internal consultation process. I hope to receive and consider this paper in the near future and will communicate my decisions in due course.
