Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 11434/22-27, (i) how long it is anticipated before a long-term solution is in place; and (ii) to outline the relevant details for such a solution.

Answer:

My department has engaged with Health & Social Care Trusts and established an interim contingency arrangement to ensure continuity of care for the neuromuscular patient group. My officials have anticipated that a long-term solution will be in place from mid-September.

The Health and Social Care Trusts, along with SPPG, will continue to work on finalising the development of a long-term solution in respect of adult neuromuscular services across required operational areas.
