To ask the Minister of Health when the planning approval for the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust’s new children’s hospital is due to expire.

Answer:

Belfast Health and Social Care Trust’s New Children’s Hospital planning approval is not subject to expiry as the approved works have commenced. The scope of the works included within the planning approval for the New Children’s Hospital project included the demolition of Bostock House.

Planning Service deemed that Bostock House demolitions commenced on 14 December 2020 and therefore the planning approval is not subject to expiry.
