Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail how the RAISE Programme will contribute to improving attendance rates.

Answer:

The RAISE Programme will adopt a place-based approach to supporting children and young people at risk of exclusion, marginalisation and underachievement.

The unique range of needs in each locality and the selection of measures best suited to addressing those needs will be explored in tandem with local stakeholders as the programme is developed in each area.

It is likely that this community-informed approach will recognise the value of regular school attendance given its importance in supporting emotional health and wellbeing and educational achievement.
