To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the current timescale for when the Glider service will be running along Bankmore Square, Belfast.

Answer:

Officials are currently considering options for delivery of interim measures along the BRT2 route utilising the £35m secured funding in readiness for the introduction of the full Glider Service should the shortfall in funding be met. These considerations include works in relation to Bankmore Link.

My department has been operating in a difficult financial environment for a number of years due to underfunding and austerity by the British Government. The value of our infrastructure cannot be overstated, and I will continue to work with Executive colleagues and the Belfast Region City Deal Partners to ensure that the appropriate level of investment is made available to deliver the project.
