Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to provide a detailed timetable for completing work on the anti-poverty strategy.

Answer:

Addressing poverty in all its forms is a key priority for me and I am committed to delivering long-term, sustainable solutions to poverty for our communities right across Northern Ireland through the implementation of a robust Anti-poverty Strategy.

While initial drafting of the Strategy has taken place, I will be considering next steps taking account of departmental budget allocations and the need to develop a prioritised, sustainable and deliverable Strategy action plan.

Final decisions on the content and implementation of the Anti-Poverty Strategy will be at the Executive’s discretion.
