Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, in relation to the recent bovine TB review, to detail (i) the terms of reference he has asked the Chief Veterinary Officer to complete in relation to developing a bovine TB strategy, including anticipated timelines; and (ii) with whom he will be engaging as part of this process.

Answer:
The review currently being undertaken by the Chief Veterinary Officer will examine all matters relating to bovine Tuberculosis (bTB) programme and policy, including the actions contained in the bTB Eradication Strategy.
This review will engage with a range of external stakeholders and departmental staff as well as considering best practice and issues in neighbouring jurisdictions.
The CVO keeps me regularly updated on progress. I anticipate that the review will result in a delivery plan to be in place from this autumn which will outline our approach to bTB eradication over the remainder of the mandate.
