Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs whether his Department holds information on the countries that have successfully eradicated bovine TB through the use of the same Single Intradermal Comparative Cervical Tuberculin skin test as is used in Northern Ireland.

Answer:
The Tuberculin skin test is the main diagnostic test for bovine Tuberculosis (bTB) internationally approved for use by the World Organisation for Animal Health.
My department does not hold specific information on the use of this test in countries that have successfully eradicated bovine TB however, my officials have advised that this would have been the main diagnostic method for identifying bTB in those countries.
