Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure what consideration he has given to putting a weight limit in place for heavy goods vehicle traffic in Hillsborough village.

Answer:

Officials in my department have commissioned an assessment of alternative routes for HGV traffic to inform the relative merits of the weight limit proposal, in particular regarding the impacts on road safety both within the village and on the surrounding road network.

The assessment is expected for completion in Autumn 2024.
