To ask the Minister for the Economy to outline how much funding will be allocated to the action plan being developed by the Green Energy Skills Industry Reference Group.

Question 10 - AQO 649/22-27

The Green Energy Skills Industry Reference Group, now known as the Green Skills Delivery Group, is an industry led sub-group of the NI Skills Council tasked with the development of a Green Skills Action Plan.

My department will look to support the delivery of the action plan through its existing programmes as well as the new Skills Fund that I have recently established as part of the 2024-25 budget process.

Green skills are critical to the delivery of my economic vision and I look forward to considering how best to support the Action Plan when it is submitted.
