Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether he will ensure that schools are provided with the necessary resource to pay teachers based on the new teacher pay deal in the 2024-25 financial year without incurring a deficit.

Answer:

As I advised in AQW 11791/22-27, the Executive agreed departments’ opening 2024-25 budgets at the end of April. I am still in the process of finalising my Department’s 2024-25 budget strategy. Schools will be notified of their 2024-25 final opening allocations in due course.
