Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister for an update on the appointment of a Climate Commissioner, which was expected by May 2024.

Answer:

We have agreed that the necessary procedures should be undertaken to have the regulations to establish a Climate Commissioner here laid and made in this Assembly as soon as possible. The appointment of the Climate Commissioner will follow once the Assembly procedures are completed and the regulations are in place.
