Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail when they will finalise their consideration of the recent submission from officials in relation to the High Street Task Force report on Delivering a 21st Century High Street and the implementation of its findings.

Answer:

The scope of the High Street Taskforce recommendations span the responsibilities of a number of departments and we are of the view that they should be taken forward by a cross-departmental group of the relevant departments, along with local councils.

Therefore, we wrote to Ministerial colleagues at the Department for Communities, Department for the Economy, Department of Finance and Department for Infrastructure on 10th October 2024, asking them to consider the recommendations and determine the way forward, bringing matters to the Executive for consideration as necessary.
