Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the Bannfoot pedestrian bridge project following the completion of the feasibility study.

Answer:

The proposed Bannfoot Footbridge project is currently at the detailed design stage, with officials in my Department developing the preferred option identified within the feasibility study.

Due to the nature of the location, an Environmental Impact Assessment has been taken forward to determine the effects of such a proposal on the shores of Lough Neagh. This assessment will assist in determining the best technical solution for delivery of the project.

Future delivery will be subject to the successful completion of the relevant technical approval processes and availability of funding.
