To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail any plans to bring forward legislation to include local councils and council services within the remit of the Public Services Ombudsman.

Answer:

District councils are already included in Schedule 3 to the Public Services Ombudsman Act (NI) 2016 as a listed authority and therefore fall under the remit of the Public Services Ombudsman.
