To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any engagement he has had with HMRC in relation to facilitating the potential payment of statutory paid carer's leave.

Answer:

HMRC have been asked by departmental officials to impact the potential cost of making the necessary system changes to facilitate a statutory payment related to carer’s leave, and engagement meetings are scheduled to take place in relation to this issue.
