Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 12140/22-27, in relation to the total spend of £40 million, to detail the amount spent on taxis procured and organised directly by (i) Health and Social Care Trusts; and (ii) the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, in each of the last five years.

Answer:
Three of the Health and Social Care Trusts [Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT); South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (SEHSCT) and Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT)] have advised that they do not hold this level of detail within their central systems and it would require an extensive manual exercise to extract such information at a disproportionate cost.
Three of the Health and Social Care Trusts [The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS); Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) and Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT)] have advised that the reported figures within the £40 million total spend, relating to their Trust [Table 1], would be attributable to taxis procured and organised directly by their Trust, in each of the last five years.
