To ask the Minister of Health for an update on the Dental Access Scheme.

Answer:

A Northern Ireland-wide Dental Access Scheme (DAS) commenced on 1st August 2024. This new scheme aims to improve access (during the working week) for unregistered patients experiencing an emergency, urgent, or pressing dental condition. There are currently 28 practices participating in the scheme and over 1200 patients were seen as part of the scheme in its first four weeks.
