Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister whether they will consider conducting a population prevalence study of sexual abuse, including in childhood sexual abuse.

Answer:

We met the Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse earlier this year. Among other topics, we discussed her proposal for research into the prevalence of non-recent child sexual abuse.

This will be taken into account as part of our consideration of the overall research needs of the Department.
