Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy when he will approve a final version of the tourism strategy.

Answer:

I have established a Tourism Partnership Board whose core purpose is to develop and oversee a final Tourism Action Plan that will be co-designed and co-delivered with the industry. The first meeting of the Board took place on 11 September 2024 with further meetings scheduled in October and November. It is anticipated the final Action Plan will be published by the end of the year.

The Tourism Action Plan is also being informed by analysis of the responses to a public consultation undertaken by my Department at the beginning of this year. This analysis was published on 12 September 2024 and is available on the departmental website.
