To ask the Minister of Justice to detail any consideration she has given to a prisoner early release scheme, similar to that in England and Wales, including the criteria for release under such a scheme and undertaking engagement with victims and survivors.

Answer:

While I regularly review these matters, particularly in relation to prison population management, I am not giving consideration to a prisoner early release scheme similar to that in England and Wales.
