To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister for an update to Paragraph 2.80 of the Covid-19 Inquiry, in relation to a gap in the role of Chief Scientific Adviser to the Executive as a whole.

Answer:

Professor Helen McCarthy was appointed as the Northern Ireland Executive’s first Chief Scientific and Technology Adviser (CSTA) in June 2024.
