Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on work to provide and promote a GCSE course in Sign Language.

Answer:

I refer the member to my previous answer to AQW 13803/22-27, answered on 28 June 2024. A process is in train to develop a GCSE in British Sign Language in England. Once that qualification is available in England it can be accredited for use in Northern Ireland.
