Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to confirm that all repair and maintenance work on the Strangford II and Portaferry II ferries will be completed during the five weeks from 14 October 2024 when they are out of service.

Answer:

The ferries require regular and routine maintenance throughout the year. Each vessel must also undergo an annual survey and associated works prior to the issue of a Passenger Ship Safety Certificate by MCA.
