Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail any plans she has to bring forward regulation of property management companies.

Answer:

Management companies must act in accordance with existing relevant companies legislation, which falls outside the remit of my Department.

However, the issue of how shared property is managed also has an interface with substantive land law, and is one that I am keen to see some progress in developing policy proposals. I am currently exploring with officials how to secure the appropriate expertise in what is a complex area. Further progress will depend on that and competing legislative priorities over the remainder of this mandate.
