Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the work that has been completed for the development and publication of a (i) Gender Equality Strategy; and (ii) Sexual Orientation Strategy.

Answer:

To date the development of the Gender Equality and Sexual Orientation Strategies has adopted the principle of co-design. This has involved a significant amount of engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

I have decided to take a phased approach to the development of the Social inclusion Strategies and the options for next steps and timings for development of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Equality Strategies will be dealt with in due course.

Final decisions on the content, publication and implementation of the strategies will be subject to Executive agreement.
