Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any commitments he has been given by the UK Government in relation to Great British Energy investment in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

I met with Secretary of State Ed Miliband in July and emphasised my energy priorities for the Economic Vision. I put to him my ambition to realise self-sufficiency in affordable renewable energy here and I gained his agreement that GB Energy can and must also support decarbonisation in the North of Ireland.
