Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the role he and his Department have in relation to the reform of the Housing Executive, including whether he has the ability to set a timetable for completion.

Answer:

I am actively pressing for a solution to enable the Housing Executive to access borrowing which does not score in Public Expenditure terms. I am seeking a solution that does not require reclassification or significant reform and which will put the Housing Executive on a sustainable footing to increase routine and planned investment, to deal with maintenance backlogs and a program of retrofit to improve energy efficiency in homes.

This work is ongoing, and it is not possible for me to confirm a timetable for completion at this time.
