To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the status of the implementation of the new waiver process for overpayments related to Welfare Supplementary Payments.

Answer:

The new Welfare Supplementary Payment overpayment waiver process was introduced on 30 September 2024. From this date, all Welfare Supplementary Payment overpayment notifications will advise customers of the waiver facility. NI Direct content has also been updated to reflect the new process.
