To ask the Minister of Health for an update on work to improve mutual recognition of training between the Irish Medical Council and General Medical Council.

Answer:

The General Medical Council (GMC) continues to recognise for full registration the qualifications of doctors in the Republic of Ireland provided they are contained on its list of acceptable GP and specialist qualifications.
