Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) the reasons why the Offshore Renewable Energy Action Plan has not yet been published; and (ii) the timeframe for its publication.

Answer:

My Department published the draft Offshore Renewable Energy Action Plan (OREAP) for public consultation and plans to publish an updated OREAP and Government response in the coming months.

The Department and our key stakeholders continue to work collaboratively towards delivery of the actions as outlined within the draft OREAP.

Offshore renewable energy will have a key role to play in achieving net zero and we remain focused on delivering our offshore ambitions from 2030.
