To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) the reasons why the consultation on an offshore Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment has not yet been published; and (ii) the timeframe for its publication.

Answer:

The consultation on the Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment of Offshore Renewable Energy will be published when all spatial matters are resolved. The process being worked through now will have benefits for the future and ensure a sustainable approach for offshore renewable energy development in the north.
