Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy whether his Department is leading on retrofitting for homes.

Answer:

The retrofitting and the wider decarbonisation of homes is a cross-cutting issue with policy responsibility sitting across several departments and public bodies. My department engages closely with DfC, the Housing Executive and other stakeholders on these policy matters to ensure a coordinated approach to future policy interventions. To facilitate this, a Residential Decarbonisation Coordination Group, jointly chaired by my Department and DfC officials, has been established to ensure effective cross Government collaboration on an approach for residential decarbonisation in line with the challenging targets contained within the Climate Change Act.
