Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether the charging of electric bicycles is being considered in the plans to improve the electric vehicle charge point network.

Answer:

The provision and operation of publicly accessible electric vehicle (EV) charge points is a commercially led operation. Responsibility for the maintenance, development and utilisation of those charge points rests solely with the Charge Point Operators (CPOs).

Individual CPOs are best placed to advise whether the charging of electric bicycles is being considered within their wider charge point network plans.

My officials continue to engage with EV owners and provide advice to CPOs on operational matters.
