To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the Eastern Transport Plan 2035.

Answer:

My Department is continuing to work with councils and stakeholders on the development of the Eastern Transport Plan 2035 (ETP). Results of a public engagement exercise that was undertaken to launch the ETP, were recently published on the Department’s website. Building on the transport challenges identified through public and stakeholder engagement, a set of Belfast City Centre proposals have been developed and are currently being finalised. Testing of the proposals will commence shortly with public engagement planned for 2025. Simultaneously, work is ongoing to develop transport proposals covering the entire five council ETP area.
