To ask the Minister of Health to detail his Department’s expected timescale for the review of findings from the public consultation on policy proposals to inform the development of a new Public Health Bill for Northern Ireland.

Answer:

My Department have received a high volume of responses to the public consultation on policy proposals to inform the development of a new Public Health Bill for Northern Ireland. The consultation closed on 14 October 2024 and the process to consider the responses has commenced, the timeframe to complete this review, given the high volume of responses, is still under consideration at this early stage.
