To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 14759/22-27, whether those on the waiting list for the surgery have been informed of his plans, outlined in his answer, to address the waiting list.

Revised Answer:

My officials in SPPG have written outlining the proposed plans to families over the previous weeks. This has been to individual families but have also written to a group that is representing a large number of the affected children.

My officials have contacted the Trust and they have advised that while they continue to explore all available ways to address the gastrostomy waiting list, the service will endeavour to keep families informed. Any patient-specific enquiries are dealt with by the team as quickly as possible.
