Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether he will commission a detailed review of capital costs required to standardise pre school education hours, given the current scoping report was based on self-assessment of capital requirements.

Answer:

The scoping study report was based on a range of data which included the self-assessed state of readiness provided by individual pre-school education settings as well as input from both my Department and the EA in regard to capital and minor works.

The report provides an outline ten-year implementation plan. As the programme rolls out, I will consider the need for the data to be refreshed or supplemented as appropriate.
