Question:
To ask the Minister of Justice, further to the Committee for Justice seeking an extension to the Committee Stage of the Justice Bill, when she expects to introduce the Sentencing Bill.

Answer:

The Sentencing Bill is intended to be the second DoJ Bill in this mandate.

I have been planning on the basis that a Sentencing Bill would be introduced later in 2025, and this remains my intention, though how quickly this Bill is able to progress following its introduction will be a matter for the Assembly.
