Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy for an update on the Domestic Abuse Safe Leave regulations.

Answer:

The consultation on the introduction of paid safe leave from work for victims of domestic abuse closed on 27 September 2024.

This consultation invited views on the issues that need to be included in the regulations that will implement the provisions of the Domestic Abuse (Safe Leave) Act (NI) 2022.

The responses to the consultation are being analysed and will inform next steps and the detail of the regulations.
