Question:
To ask the Minister of Health whether the British Association of Social Workers will be included in the Social Care Collaborative Forum.

Answer:

There are no professional associations represented currently on the Adult Social Care Collaborative Forum, although there is trade union representation on the group. There are thirty three members on the forum already, and to extend the membership beyond this number would be impractical.

However, I would welcome BASW’s involvement in any of the eight workstreams, and have asked my officials to discuss this with them.
