Question:
To ask the Minister of Education (i) for a further update on the agreed amalgamation of Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College; and (ii) to confirm the site for the new school.

Answer:

The Education Authority is continuing to work towards achieving a day one solution to enable the new Causeway Academy to operate on a single site from 1 September 2026. This is likely to involve refurbishment and additional accommodation on an existing site, either one of the three existing school sites or the former Coleraine High School site at Lodge Road.

The feasibility study for September 2026 is well underway and is considering a number of options to enable the school to open on a single site. The subsequent business case will identify the preferred option, and the investment required to implement it.
