Question: To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail the organisations that were part of the co-design process for the Strategy for Victims and Survivors of the Troubles/Conflict 2024-2034.
Answer:
We are delighted to have agreed the new Victims and Survivors Strategy. The Strategy was developed in three phases, managed by an overarching Collaborative Co-Design planning group. The Executive Office (TEO), Victims and Survivors Service (VSS) and the Commission for Victims and Survivors (CVS) worked together as a Collaborative Co-Design team, holding regular meetings to share information and cross reference findings. Throughout the development of the Strategy there has been extensive engagement with a range of stakeholders. VSS funded groups, members of the Victims and Survivors Forum and individuals with lived experience were invited to attend co-design events and get involved in working groups to inform the drafting of the new Strategy. The outputs from these events and working groups helped co-design the outcomes and actions which reflect the many complex, varied and changing needs of victims and survivors. The following VSS funded Organisations were invited to Co-design Sessions: Action Mental Health (New Life Counselling Service) Aisling Centre Antrim Voluntary Welfare Group Ashton Community Trust Aurora Counselling Barnardo’s (NOVA Project) CALMS Centre for Health and Wellbeing County Armagh Phoenix Cunamh Decorum NI Derry Well Woman Ely Centre FAIR Families Beyond Conflict Families Moving On Holy Trinity Centre Koram Centre Larne Voluntary Welfare Group Lenadoon Counselling Services MAST Military and Police Support of West Tyrone (MAPS) MUVE Project Newry and Mourne Local Voluntary Welfare Group Omagh Police Wives Out of the Shadows Paper Trail Pat Finucane Centre REACT Relatives for Justice South and East Tyrone Welfare Support (SETWS) South Armagh Rural Women’s Network South East Fermanagh Foundation (SEFF) South Tyrone Voluntary Welfare Group Springhill Community House Strule Association Survivors of Trauma Tara Centre Tullyvallen Family Support UDR Coleraine UDR Castlederg UDR Enniskillen UDR Lisnaskea Ulster Human Rights Watch VAST WAVE Trauma Centre
