Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy whether his Department is implementing any measures to prevent food waste in buildings used by his Department or its arm's-length bodies.

Answer:

The Department produces very little food waste in either its operations or from staff working in its buildings, therefore my Department is currently not implementing any measures to prevent food waste in the buildings it uses.

Our partner organisations, Stranmillis University College, Construction Industry Training Board, Invest NI and Tourism NI implement basic measures within their facilities.
