To ask the Minister for the Economy whether his Department is considering how the removal of rates exemption from university accommodation will impact students and the affordability of third level education in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

Officials have discussed this issue with stakeholders such as the universities. The removal of rates exemptions on university accommodation will ultimately be a matter for the Executive.
